It is with great sadness that we must announce that King Tut has crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.November 2, 2006Tut was so many things to
so many people but to me he was my lovey kitty boy. Every day when I got to the
shop he came running to greet me. Over the years he comforted me with his
unconditional love and entertained me with his unique sense of kitty humor. He
never touched things in the shop, except for the catnip toys, which he thought
of as his but he only ever took one at a time for his play toy. People coming
to the shop were always greeted by his meow if they ignored him he would follow
them until they showed the proper respect for the shop kitty. Tut was a healer
and attended many a session of Reiki with Saundra. He changed some people's
minds about black cats and cats in general with his winning personality and
gentle ways. Tut had been feeling poorly for about a month. I had him to the
vet several times and finally pneumonia developed. Tut had FIV a cat form of
Aids which depresses their immune system making any infection serious for them.
The vet said yesterday that Tut's temperature was so low he was terminal and
his lungs were crackling with fluid, so I let him go to be with Bast. I held him
and he went peacefully into her arms. When I get his ashes back we will have a
memorial service for him at the shop and he will be placed next to Bast on her
altar by our door. King Tut will never be forgotten by any of the people that
met him. He will live in my heart forever. |

When I used to do readings at the shop on Edmonds St., Tut would sometimes come in and jump on the table where I had my tarot cards laid out. I couldn't figure out if he wanted to "tell" me something about the client, or if he just wanted me to pet him at that moment and forget about my client. I was amused, but I'm not so sure the clients were.
